Job Description
The Montague lab at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute in Roanoke, VA is seeking a part time Research Assistant. The Montague lab focuses on computational neuroscience.
Approaches to this research include theoretical, computational, and experimental with focus on mental health and its effect on disease / injury.
The successful candidate should be detail oriented, enjoy a fast-paced research environment, and have some prior experience in a lab setting.
The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable working with a diverse population. Knowledge in basic computer skills, record keeping and experience with data collection is preferred.
There is opportunity for the candidate to gain experience in a professional research setting. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in lab meetings, analyze data with supervision, and assist in data collection under the supervision of senior lab members.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and team skills
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated computer skills and experience using Microsoft applications
