Requirements :
Current and valid Medical Assistant Certification
Responsibilities :
- Assist the team providing substance use disorder services to inmates.
- Verify outside prescriptions and treatments.
- Provide assistance with lab work.
- Ordering of medication.
- Provide assistance as needed to the nurse practitioner, physician assistant or medical doctor in charge.
- Collaborate efficiently with other staff and members of the treatment team.
- Work effectively within a correctional setting, demonstrating professionalism and adherence to facility protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
