Your Role :
The Clinical Educator and participates in the planning, implementing and evaluation of education opportunities, including orientation and annual competencies throughout the agency.
The Clinical Educator works closely with clinical leadership and serves as a role model while providing leadership needed to educate and implement evidence-based practice for the safety and wellbeing of our patients.
Utilizes instructional techniques and learning principles to assess learning needs, implement job aides, performance criteria and interactive practical experiences to support staff development based on identified educational needs.
Serves as a member of the MaineHealth Nursing Education committee.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ( KSAs ) :
Education : Degree in Nursing Bachelors preferred License / Certifications : Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Maine.
Current BLS certification. Experience : Demonstrated clinical expertise in patient care as normally acquired through a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
Previous experience in home health and experience as a staff development educator preferred. High level of interpersonal and leadership skills Knowledge of educational development and design to assist in the planning, development, and implementation of educational offerings from a variety of practice settings.
