Investigator Budgets Analyst
SUMMARY / JOB PURPOSE :
Performs clinical trial budget negotiation, analysis, and administration through collaborations with CROs; proposal preparation;
and customer contact related to contract acquisition and fulfillment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities :
- Develops investigator grant budgets according to protocol specifications.
- Negotiates clinical study budget with investigators or designated site personnel, if needed.
- Maintains a tracking system of all clinical study agreements, issues and communications with internal and external sources regarding contract and budget status.
- Participates in clinical working group meetings.
- Processes site-related grant and pass-through expenses for Exelixis approval.
- Develops management reports to support budgeting and forecasting.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :
Education / Experience :
BS / BA degree in related discipline and a minimum of three years of related experience; or,

- MS / MA degree in related discipline and a minimum of one year of related experience; or,
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May require certification in assigned area.
Experience / The Ideal for Successful Entry into Job :
Experience in negotiating budgetary and contract issues.
Knowledge / Skills :
- Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the clinical development process and associated regulations (e.g. FDA, CMS, FCPA, etc.).
- Knowledge of clinical trial finance including insurance reimbursement and medical coding in oncology.
- Proficiency in MS Office 2019 software; particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
- Proficiency in GrantPlan software is preferred.
- Ability to complete tasks and projects with moderate direction from supervisor.
- Ability to perform thorough reviews of budget documents in MS Excel quickly and without errors.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Has wide-ranging experience in area of specialization.
- Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
- Has complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Has good general knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Applies strong analytical and business communication skills.
- Ability to successfully collaborate with multiple stakeholders and execute clinical trial contracts according to company timelines.
Working Conditions :
Environment : primarily working indoors, performing office work.
Compensation :
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets.
The base pay range for this position is $82,500 - $117,000 annually. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.
