Metric Geo are partnered with a Top ENR-Rated General Contractor with a portfolio of over $40BN worth of projects across the US including EV battery plants, data centers, and commercial builds.
They are looking to hire an Energy Marshall for a $4.4BN project in Jefferson, OH.
You do not need to be based in this location as this can be a traveling role with per diem available.
Key Responsibilities :
- Energy Isolation Management : Develop, implement, and monitor energy isolation and lockout / tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe work conditions when working with or near hazardous energy sources such as electrical systems, mechanical equipment, hydraulics, and stored energy systems.
- Safety Compliance and Training : Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, NFPA 70E, and other relevant safety regulations and industry best practices concerning energy control and electrical safety.
- Work Permit Management : Review and approve work permits related to activities involving high-risk energy sources. This includes verifying that all necessary safety precautions have been taken, LOTO procedures are in place, and the workforce is adequately briefed on potential hazards.
- Site Inspections and Audits : Perform regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance with energy isolation and LOTO procedures, identify potential energy hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordination and Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for all energy-related safety issues on-site, providing guidance and support to construction crews, electricians, and management.
- Emergency Response Planning : Develop and implement emergency response plans related to energy-related incidents, including protocols for electrical shocks, arc flashes, and other hazardous energy events.
