Our client is seeking a Mental Health Clinician III to become a part of their innovative team at an academically-based behavioral health care practice.
Salary / Hourly Rate :
$64k - $67k
Position Overview :
The Mental Health Clinician III will provide comprehensive evaluation, assessment, and therapeutic intervention to address the psychological, emotional, and social needs of adults ages 20 years and above.
Responsibilities of the Mental Health Clinician III :
- Participate in creating group sessions and run group intervention programs.
- Manage caseloads of clients.
- Collaborate with families and provide updates on participant progress.
- Contribute to and support an environment that enhances the positive self-image of individuals served and preserves their human dignity.
- Actively participate in programs and department-wide meetings as assigned.
- Maintains effective, open communication with members of the treatment team as evidenced by supervisory observation and team members’ feedback.
- Under supervision, provide psychotherapeutic interventions / services.
- Deal appropriately with issues of loss, separation, power, alliance, boundaries, authority, and identity with individuals.
- Consistently identify appropriate resources for individuals served and families based on assessed needs, perform case management functions, and complete all forms.
- Formulate clinically appropriate and timely discharge plans and documents in discharge instructions consistent with Clinical Records standards in accordance with prescribed time frames as determined by supervisory observation and periodic review.
- Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of programs.
- Annually participate in relevant professional conferences and training.
Qualifications for the Mental Health Clinician III :
- Must have experience working with adults.
- Must have experience running intervention groups.
- Licensure to practice as required by New Jersey.
- Active New Jersey certification / licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Education Requirements :
Master’s degree in a Mental Health discipline is required.
