Responsibilities
- Assisting sales personnel with enhancing the customer buying experience.
- Acting as a liaison between production and sales regarding the quality of portland and masonry cements.
- Promoting the use of cement and concrete by participating in industry groups and trade associations.
- Responding to technical questions from customers, contractors, engineers and owners.
- Maintaining working relations with governmental agencies, such as state transportation departments.
- Conducting seminars on various technical / marketing subjects.
- Traveling, as required, to the following service area : Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York Metro, Western Connecticut and Maryland.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a science field or equivalent construction program, is preferred.
- 5+ years experience in the concrete, masonry or cement industries is preferred.
- Knowledge of cement and admixture chemistries.
- Familiarity and ability to perform physical testing of concrete, mortar and grout.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal intelligence.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to do physical labor, including lifting up to 100 pounds.
