The Weekend Lead LVN Is responsible for coordinating the medical needs of the adults living in TERI, Inc. Residential Services.
- This includes, but is not limited to, medication reviews; provision of first aid; contacting families and providers regarding health-related needs;
- monitoring individuals with ongoing medical needs; and providing training to direct care staff . This position is also directly responsible for over-all weekend household functions including Active Treatment;
Behavior Modification, BEST, CPR, and Standard First Aid in accordance with the individual education and program plans including timely and accurate client documentation following TERI policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Protects clients’ rights, health, safety, and welfare at all times.
- Assess the wellness / health of clients and students and follow up on any issues related to health.
- Provides first aid medical treatment; oversees others' provision of first aid medical treatment; delivers / oversees provision of medical treatments related to medical conditions.
- Assists clients to obtain medical care and treatment, including functioning as the primary liaison with families, providers, and health care professionals.
- Delivers, or oversees delivery of, individual health care plans for clients who have ongoing medical needs.
- Observes, trains, and assesses direct support staff and other teaching staff.
- Observes and assesses infection control procedures in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Performs liaison duties with TERI., Inc. Registered Nurses to maintain good communication relative to student or client needs.
- Ensures compliance with state and federal licensing regulations.
- Oversees inventory and maintenance of supplies for first aid and other health-related needs.
- Maintains health-related files for clients enrolled in Residential Services.
- Ensures accurate accounting and appropriate use of household monies to include House Account and Client Personal and Incidental Funds.
- Develops and / or completes necessary documentation, including, but not limited to : Skills Training Data Sheets, Fire Drills, Facility Maintenance Logs, Vehicle Mileage and Maintenance Logs, Daily Logs, Incident / Injury Reports, Special Incident Reports, Weekend Activity Schedule, Behavior Management Charts, Medication Documentation, and other forms of documentation as requested by supervisors, development and / or completion of documentation.
- Maintains and upkeeps the facility, yard, and van to agency standards and coordinates with administration for needed repairs.
- Assists with facility cleaning, laundry, and cooking meals, etc., as required.
- Provides transportation for clients to weekend activities and family home visits, as required.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED required, Current LVN License.
- Experience with people with developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to lift and transfer people when needed
- California Driver’s license and good driving history
- Willingness to complete a drug test
Willingness to assist people with personal care needs and provide transportation to community outings and activities
Schedule : 6, 8, 12 hour shifts available Saturday and / or Sunday!
Salary Range : $ 30.00-32.00
