About The Position

problem-solving skills, ability to set priorities, organize work, and excellent interpersonal skillsLicense : IEMA-licensed by the State of IllinoisCertifications : - ARRT-registered in Radiologic Technology- BLSMust-Have : - Basic reading, writing, and oral skills- Ability to respond appropriately to customer / co-worker interaction- Ability to maintain confidential information- Professional, friendly, and helpful demeanor- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Windows OS and applications- English language proficiency (Speak, Read, Write)Job Description : - Conducts or participates in special procedures, working directly with the radiologist for diagnostic and interventional purposes- Performs special procedures ensuring accurate and complete examinations according to guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards- Uses CT and / or Fluoroscopy for sure guidance and needle guidance under radiologist supervision- Competently performs and films angiographic and CT radiographic procedures- Adapts procedures based on patient condition or radiologist requests- Prepares and manages catheters, guidewires, and sterile trays- Documents accurate pre- and post-procedure information- Follows patient safety goals and maintains quality care throughout procedures- Practices radiation protection through appropriate shielding- Applies problem-solving in patient moving and handling- Promotes safety through appropriate use of lift equipment- Conducts patient bedside lab testing and ensures quality control compliance with provider orders and hospital lab procedures and policiesPlease note that flexibility and the ability to work well with others are essential for this role.
