SUMMARY DESCRIPTION :
Under direction of the school principal and special education supervisor, the special education teacher provides direct instruction and instructional support to students with disabilities and works in collaboration with the general education teacher.
Monitors and evaluates outcomes for students with disabilities. Assists in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
CERTIFICATE LICENSE :
Meets Maryland State Department of Education certification requirements for Standard Professional Certification I (SPC I) in special education.
Certification in a content area is desirable.
