We are looking for talented Engineers to join our marine engineering support team in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Responsibilities :

  • Research technical manuals, ship drawings, feedback, and regulatory requirements to assist in new vessel maintenance plan development or revisions
  • Perform ship-checks to assist in the development and validation of maintenance plan
  • Assist in condition monitoring system development, installation, and commissioning
  • Collect and validate diesel engine combustion data from operating machinery while in port and at sea
  • Provide support for research projects
  • Assist in root cause analysis investigations
  • Manage and prioritize multiple project timelines

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Preference will be given to USCG Licensed Marine Engineers with sailing experience or experience with US Navy diesel system or propulsion plant inspections / assessments (i.

e., Builders, acceptance and final task order trials, etc.)

  • Experience with technical documentation, technical manuals, planned maintenance procedures, depot level maintenance standards and operational procedures
  • Experience with Colt-Pielstick PC2.5 and PA6B, FMOP 38 ND 8 1 / 8, Caterpillar 3608
  • Experience with the Diesel Maintenance Strategy (DMS) and Diesel Readiness System (DRS) programs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to perform work in engine rooms and onboard ships while underway
  • Able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs., sit and / or stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
  • Must be willing to travel : 25 % travel expected
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
