Position Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LBS1 Special Education Teacher to join our team for our upcoming summer school program.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of special education practices, a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students, and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
Caseload Details :
- High school grades 8th to 12th
- Self-contained classrooms
- Design and deliver instructional activities that promote academic and social-emotional growth
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, behavior, and attendance
Schedule :
- May 29th, 2024 June 27th, 2024
- Monday to Friday
- 8am to 12pm
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity in the classroom.
