JOB TITLE : Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (Brand New Paramedics Accepted!!)
LOCATION : Peoria, IL
SHIFT : Peoria Paramedics work 12-hour shifts on what we call an A / B shift rotation.
A shift Week 1 : Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (36-hours total) and Week 2 : Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (48-hour total).
B shift Week 1 : Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (48-hours total) and Week 2 : Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (36-hours total).
SUPERVISION RECEIVED : Reports directly to the Operations Supervisor and or Manager.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES : (This list may not include all the duties assigned.)
- Monitor all patients assigned to his / her care.
- Provide basic and advanced life support as necessary.
- Provide patients and their families with any assistance when requested.
- Assure the accuracy and completeness of all company and patient contact paperwork.
- Be responsible for all equipment and supplies as specified on company check-off sheets and inventory requirements.
- Maintain current Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification according to the provisions set forth by the governing licensure.
- Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Promote a positive company image.
- Accepts other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Valid High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid respective Department of Public Health Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
- Licensure and National Registry define by market, ACLS, BLS.
- Valid State Driver's License
- Must be able to report for duty when emergency staffing conditions occur (at most 20 hours per week).
