Wood County Hospital is an acute care hospital in northwestern Ohio. This facility sees an annual volume of 6,000. Cases include ortho, ENT, OB / Gyn, bariatrics, B&B, and more;

no cardiac, neuro, heads, or hearts. The EMR is Cerner. Wood County Hospital has been providing care to the surrounding communities since 1951.

Bowling Green, Ohio

Bowling Green is the county seat of Wood County, Ohio, and as of the 2010 census, the population was 30,028. Part of the Toledo Metropolitan Area and a member of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments, Bowling Green is home for Bowling Green State University.

Bowling Green is within an area of land once known as the Great Black Swamp, which was drained and settled in the 19th century, and the resulting nutrient-rich soil makes for highly productive farm land.

A public demand response bus service is operated by the city through B.G. Transit, Bowling Green State University offers shuttle services via its own buses with routes throughout campus and the downtown area.

Bowling Green is home to Ohio's first utility-sized wind farm. In total, Bowling Green is home to four turbines that are each 257 feet tall and generate up to 7.

2 megawatts of power, which is enough to supply electricity for some 3,000 residents. Located about six miles from the city, the turbines can be seen for miles and have become a local attraction.

At the site of the turbines, a solar-powered kiosk provides information for visitors, including current information on wind speeds and the amount of energy being produced by the turbines.
