About The Position

first-time travelers not accepted Job Description : Care for adult to geriatric patient populations with conditions such as COVID, respiratory failure, DKA, renal failure, hypertension emergencies, CHF, post-carotid endarterectomy, post-surgical cases, sepsis, and strokes.
- Manage and titrate drips including amiodarone, Cardizem, precede, cardene, labetalol, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, and nitro.
- Operate equipment such as Glucommander, Trach to Vents, Bipaps, high flows, salters, Art lines, and bedside cardiac monitors.
- Dialysis is conducted at the bedside by a dialysis nurse.- Facilitate rapid sequence intubation and manage patients on sedation, ETTs, and low-dose pressors if ICU overflow is necessary.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1 : 4, with a 16-bed unit and an average daily census of 16.- Utilize systems like Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR.
- Required to work every other weekend and potentially float to the Cardiac Tele unit, Med Surg Pulmonary unit, or ICU depending on experience.
- Must work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period.- Full compliance is required to start on time; any delay due to non-compliance will result in a push back of 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
