Who is Costa Farms? We’re one of the world’s largest horticultural growers but without an ego to match our acreage. Our headquarters are in Miami, Florida, where we were founded in 1961.
Costa Farms started on just 30 acres, and over the last 60 years, we’ve grown to more than 5,000 acres around the world.

Position Overview
The Senior Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist drives the development and implementation of strategies to attract, select, and retain high-quality talent at all levels of Costa Farms.
As an individual contributor, responsible for attracting, engaging and hiring the right talent, this role owns all staffing activities of the company while providing the best possible candidate experience.
In order to provide the best service to our business, this position is hybrid, working from our headquarters (Homestead, FL) at least twice weekly.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Owns the TA process from beginning to end; from posting open roles in UKG Recruiting Gateway, to extending offer letters and providing the best candidate experience.
- Sources or headhunts, screens, and interviews job applicants / candidates.
- Uses applicant tracking software (ATS) and other tools to evaluate candidates from selection through to onboarding.
- Updates dashboards to be able to measure results and take decisions based on objective data.
- Executes the recruiting strategy of Costa Farms for present and future talent needs.
- Maintains current workforce plans and communicates with hiring managers and members of the People team as needed.
- Trains other members of the People team about TA best practices.
- Searches for and enforces new sourcing methods to find job candidates.
- Assesses recruiting technologies and methods to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
- Maintains strong relationships with vendors and colleges.
- Partners with Marketing to expand our employer brand throughout recruiting platforms and community presence.
- Educates and advises hiring managers on proper interviewing methods to assess skills and ensure compliance.
- Proactively organizes, coordinates, and participates in recruiting events like career fairs.
- Partners with senior leaders in the development of a hiring and developing from within culture.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Recruiting Specialist or Recruiting Consultant.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Ability to problem-solve in a collaborative, highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with candidates, internal stakeholders, and members of the People team, at times in stressful situations due to the urgency of accomplishing goals.
- Superior communication and organizational skills, including impeccable follow-through on tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic mindset skills.
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
- Knowledge of labor laws related to Talent Acquisition.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- Full time flexible but usually 8am to 5pm US Eastern Time zone, may occasionally require extra time.
- Hybrid remote / in-office as needed to develop relationships and gather information.
- Travel occasional travel within USA, about 10% related to Talent Acquisition events.
- Work in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
- Eye / hand coordination, typing, handling, & wrist motion continuously.
