We are seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our Specialty Periodontics practice at a state of the art facility with high tech equipment.
Exceptional opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility alongside accomplished doctors! The ideal candidate will have experience and proficiency in a wide range of dental assisting duties, including chair side assistance, taking dental impressions, and performing expanded functions under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care are essential for this role. Must be able to multitask and be able to go with the flow when we have schedule changes.
This position would be great for a self motivator, someone who will just jump in and do what needs to be done! Being a team player is a must being a team leader is a bonus! We have a great team here and we would love for you to experience it with us! Opportunity to travel to one of our 3 office locations is available but not required.

Responsibilities :
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including chair side support and instrument preparation
- Take dental impressions and maintain accurate records of patient treatments
- Perform expanded duties such as placing fillings, sealants, and temporary crowns under the direction of a licensed dentist
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Perform expanded duties including placing fillings, taking impressions, and fabricating temporary crowns
- Ensure the dental operatory is fully equipped and prepared for each patient
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Working knowledge of all on 4 and Nobel products.
- Performing cone-beam CT scans and preparing guides for the dentist.
- Knowledge of Damaged tooth removal, Dental implant placement and Bone growth and healing.
- Abutment placement, artificial tooth placement, Jawbone preparation (grafting), when needed.
- Digital Oral Scanning, Esthetic restorative materials and procedures
- Tooth morphology, Dental Impressions, Temporary Crown Fabrication and Cementation
- BLS, ACLS & PALS certified
Requirements :
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification and X-ray certification
- Previous experience in a dental office or similar healthcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Full time : Monday-Thursday 7 : 30am-5 : 00pm, Friday 7 : 30-2 : 00.
