Position Overview : As a Bilingual SLPA, you will play a vital role in supporting our Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in providing exceptional assessment and therapy services to children in our Early Intervention and Elementary programs.
This position offers flexibility in terms of hours and days worked, allowing for both part-time and full-time options.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the SLP to assist in the assessment of children, particularly in the area of bilingual assessment.
- Provide support in therapy sessions, focusing on Early Intervention and potentially Elementary caseloads.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for students, ensuring their comfort and engagement during therapy sessions.
- Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
Requirements :
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or clinical setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work across multiple school sites, if required.
