Summary / Objective
The Director, Name.com Marketing will strategize, develop, and lead a team to execute full-stack marketing programs for Name.
com including brand and awareness marketing, conversion and lifecycle campaigns, and co-marketing and affiliate programs.
This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.
What You'll Do
Leadership
Build, lead, and enrich a team of outstanding marketers to ensure the success of Name.com across global markets
Set and evangelize the marketing strategy and operating plan for Name.com, socializing and leading the plan across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Engineering
Manage a seven-figure media budget, ensuring all spend is accounted for and optimized
Identify, hire, and onboard talent as needed, aligned with strategic areas of investment
Growth
Develop and execute Name.com’s growth marketing strategy, encompassing both customer acquisition and retention marketing
Lead and nurture a data-driven strategy for global paid and organic user growth
Develop, lead, and manage the execution of strategic acquisition marketing plans to target and acquire new customers using digital marketing channels
Develop, lead, and manage a new retention marketing strategy, leveraging lifecycle and account-based marketing best practices
Manage internal team and external agencies to deliver across digital channels (search, social, display, af?liates, video, etc)
Brand
Define the Name.com brand and story, working with third-party agencies to develop the voice, tone, visuals, and guidelines to bring that story to life.
Build and execute a brand marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives and is implemented across all marketing channels (paid, owned, and earned)
Lead creative efforts, partnering with external agencies to steward new O&O experiences.
Design and coordinate implementation of a social media strategy across the company’s corporate channels, ensuring it aligns with business goals, voice, and brand, and improves engagement
Partner with the product team to deliver brand experience across all O&O touchpoints.
Product Marketing
Craft Name.com’s value proposition, positioning, and messaging for key audiences and customer personas.
Develop and lead customer-friendly product marketing messaging and positioning, establishing product market fit, leveraging research and the Jobs to be Done Framework
Lead and implement GTM strategy, ensuring all O&O channels are aligned with product messaging and reasons to believe
Own prioritization, GTM strategy, and roadmap for new market expansion to drive growth and achieve customer acquisition goals
Create a consumer insights function to better identify needs and challenges to improve cross-functional understanding of our user base and inform feature development
Partner closely with the Product team to drive demand and feature adoption by owning feature launch marketing including positioning, naming, messaging, etc.
Marketing Analytics
Own weekly reporting of all marketing programs, synthesizing key learnings and opportunities to improve at monthly leadership meetings
Establish and socialize reporting benchmarks and KPIs related to growth (volume, CAC, retention, LTV) and own achievement of monthly KPIs
Utilize data insights to develop new growth strategies and initiatives
Determine support needed for scaling marketing functions (internal vs. external)
Partner Marketing
Develop and lead outbound / inbound marketing for Affiliate program, ensuring the channel is delivering on all revenue targets and KPIs
Develop and lead account-based marketing and sales enablement supporting the Reseller program, ensuring the channel is delivering on all acquisition and retention KPIs
Develop and lead Registry partner relationships, including the securing of comarketing dollars and MDF, to support promotions calendar
Who You Are / What You Bring
12+ years of experience leading a successful marketing organization, ideally within a high-growth B2C tech company
Experience leading campaigns that target SMBs / Entrepreneurs
Ability to drive both strategy and day-to-day execution in a fast-paced environment
Ability to plan strategy, targets, and budget for the marketing organization
Skilled with CRM, SEO, SEM, and analytics tools such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Tableau, Klayvio, and more
Experienced presenting to senior leadership, synthesizing complex campaigns into actionable insights and strategy
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization
Salary Range
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $, - $,, plus benefits as described below. In addition, the successful candidate will be eligible to receive other compensation from time to time in the form of discretionary and / or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan.
Actual compensation will be influenced by a candidate’s qualifications, internal employee equity considerations, and location.
