Diesel Technician
DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in St. Louis, MO. You will make an impact in the following ways :
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance / repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development / certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following :
Entry) :
- Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs / diagnostics
- Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
Intermediate) :
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision
- In this role, you
Advanced) :
- Ability to troubleshoot with limited / no support from diagnostic tools
- Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
- Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. This position will be part of the FTA pool.
CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
A current valid license is required for this role
This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
3 years driving experience
This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age.
