The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $84,594-$166,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications :

  • Communicate with external users and potential users in target markets.
  • Visit active project sites and interface with Sales, Customer Support, installation, commissioning, or operations teams.
  • Study industry trends in technology, methods, and preferences.
  • Monitor competitors’ offerings, strategies, messaging, and market positioning.
  • Create and maintain the LoadRunner and AMR sortation product portfolio and roadmaps.
  • Articulate customer requirements into objective, actionable statements for response through Dematic product and service offerings.
  • Analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources to drive decisions.
  • Generate business plans asserting projected outcomes with consideration for market share adoption, sales revenue, development cost, manufacturing & delivery cost, and recurring revenue streams.
  • Specify work packages for engineering teams in software and mechatronics to develop new products and features.
  • Control quality and completeness of deliverables of product development teams.
  • Liaise with Company product centers at a technical level to ensure full product understanding and correct application in customer project proposals.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date sources of truth with LoadRunner and AMR sortation products and modules including internal Confluence page(s), Application Solution Center repository, and the Global Product Catalog.
  • Commission and support development of training programs and media for sales and technical personnel.
  • Track pre-engineered standards in customer project opportunities.
  • Ensure approval of special-release modifications to LoadRunner and AMR sortation product standard offerings for customer commercial offerings.
  • Assess the business value of intellectual property as it pertains to AMR Sortation ( Close to Consumer ) applications.
  • Monitor portfolio product costs and coordinate responsive actions with Procurement and Category Management resources.
  • Produce sales forecasts for manufacturing and procurement planning.
  • Analyze and influence manufacturing location(s) for Loadrunner portfolio.
  • Monitor quality, reliability, and customer acceptance of Loadrunner and AMR Sortation portfolio products and services.

Address deficiencies where necessary.

  • Usher offerings through sunsetting and end of life according to product roadmaps.
  • Support development of departmental budgets and business plans for functional areas.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes in methods or procedures.
  • Deliver continuous process improvements in efficiency of the department.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of new hires.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related field and 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager, Solution Consultant, Solution Engineer or closely related occupation in Warehouse Automation, Intra-Logistics Automation, or Material Handling Systems industry.

  • Also requires 3 years’ experience with various controls architectures, related controls levels, and functionality of controls domains, inclusive of WMS and WCS integration;
  • AutoStore 3rd party tools, standards, analytics, software packages, and mechatronics offerings; developing order fulfillment operation solutions;
  • planning, management, and execution of highly complex material handling systems; SAP, JIRA, Sales Force, and Microsoft Office Suite;

and implementing various products and subsystems employed in complex systems inclusive of mechanical, controls, software, installation.

Up to 15% travel required to various unanticipated locations. Pre-employment processing for this position requires drug testing and passing background checks.

Located at Dematic Corp. Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week from Grand Rapids, MI or Atlanta, GA offices. Apply at dematic.
