Volt is immediately hiring fo a Field Service Technician in Turlock , CA.

As a Field Service Technician you will : The Field Service Technician will be responsible for the service and maintenance of dairy wastewater equipment.

• Repairs machinery equipment following oral and written work orders.
• Reassembles complete units, tests function of pumps and mechanical units using auxiliary power. Test-runs engines at various speeds and observes efficiency of operations.
• Ability to perform major and general repairs on all equipment.
• Required to record labor and material used on each repair made.
• Required to take proper care and use of test equipment.
• Move large objects using heavy equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.

This is a full time position

Monday-Friday 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM

The ideal candidate will have :

• Knowledge of machinery, electrical and other systems and their components.
• Experience with belt, chain, and direct driven machinery as well as chain, belt and screw conveying systems and machinery.
• Good verbal and communication skills.
• Must be able to use and read tape measure.
• Must have a Valid Class B Driver’s License.
• Crane Certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Welding Certificate (or obtain within 3 months of hire).
• Proficient in manufacturing math; multiplication, division, decimals to fractions, fractions to decimals.
• Ability to use gauging equipment from .001" up, dial indicators, micrometers, feeler gauges, etc.
• The ability to climb and work from ladders and / or man-lifts.
• Must pass pre-employment M.A.T. testing & Fabricator Tool Test

Preferred Skills and Abilities :

• Previous experience working with Dairy Fields or Dairy Service.
• Mobile Crane Operator.
• Electrician.
• Field Mechanic.
• Welder.
• Maintenance & Repair Work (general).
• Class A Driver’s License.
• Parts removal, installation, and alignment.
• Strong commitment to health and safety guidelines.

Pay Rate : $19.00 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
