We are looking for a Content Editor to join our team. You will work on an editorial team responsible for delivery of content for a digital product, in cooperation with the product manager.
You will build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders. And the role involved direct involvement in production work.

About You experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field, such as Information Science, Business, or Computer Science, plus at least 1 year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 + years of experience working in operations, libraries, customer service, inside sales, or a similar environment.
- 2 + years of experience as editor, editorial content analyst, bibliographic content manager, or similar position
It would be great if you also had...
- Ability to understand the strategic placement and outlook of product.
- Ability to make editorial decisions within content of product scope and purpose.
- Experience with editorial systems and workflow processes.
- Masters’ degree in Library Science
What will you be doing in this role?
- Holds responsibility for editorial work done for the project
- Coordinates closely with product management team
- Assures the delivery or product within established scope and purpose
- Performs editing, accuracy checks, and / or quality audits to ensure content is accurate and follows style rules
- Ensures adherence to production schedules
- Assists in selection and evaluation of personnel for research positions
- Leads training and development of staff
- Assesses work processes to find and implement efficiencies
- Fosters a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere within the group
- Participates in creation and ownership of editorial standards and documentation
- Communicates decisions to facilitate workflow
- Works with vendor to ensure exported content meets requirements for delivery of content packages
Hours of Work
- Full time, permanent
- Although duties are typically performed during normal business hours, occasional off-hours may be required
- Hybrid position in Ann Arbor (2-3 days a week in the office)

The team focuses on the Trends and Policy Product, with a focus on the Academic & Government Sector, using the ProQuest technology stack.
The internal stakeholders you will get a chance to work with are a Product Manager and a Principal Content Editor, contractors (US), 2 contractors (India).
