Your Opportunity
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be working closely with Controls Specialists and Controls Managers to collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets by developing dashboards and reports to help inform business decisions.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights.
- Use statistical methods to interpret data and generate useful business reports.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and cleaning processes.
- Interpret program data for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Controls team and other teams to resolve data-related issues.
- Design and develop comprehensive and visually appealing reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
- Prepare project performance reports on a portfolio of projects including variance reporting.
- Communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Assist with Business Process development regarding data gathering and analysis.
- Communicate and coordinate with other team members to complete project tasks to meet specific deadlines.
- Participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.

- Knowledge of database design and theories.

- Ability to multi-task, manage time, organize, and set priorities and make timely decisions.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Experience with API calls and management (e.g., REST, JSON or XML objects).
- Experience working with location data and maps is preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).
- 5-7 years’ experience as a Data Scientist, or in a similar role.
- Industry-specific knowledge and experience (e.g., Architecture, Engineering, Construction) is preferred.
- Prior work in project controls would be considered an asset.
