Basic Purpose
Under administrative direction during regular duty hours, admit and release human bodies which fall under the medical examiner’s jurisdiction, keep an updated register on an excel spreadsheet, answer telephone calls, communicate well, re-stock supplies, required cleaning, heavy lifting, and other duties as assigned.
An Autopsy Laboratory Assistant is a visible representative of this agency and adheres to agency policies and guidelines.
Education and Experience
High school education is required.Proper skills in writing, reading, and speaking the English language are imperative.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
Microsoft 365 including :
- Outlook
- SharePoint
- Excel
- Word
Problem-solving and multi-tasking skills are required.
Must be a self-starter
Special Requirements
Employees must possess and maintain physical and mental stamina to perform required work and be willing to accept the physical and mental discomforts inherent to this position.
Heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling are required.
Work hours will be 15 : 30 23 : 30 or 23 : 30 - 07 : 30, Tuesday - Saturday. The employee must be able and willing to provide shift coverage as needed for evening and night shifts for all days of the week.
Training for this position will likely be from Sunday- Thursday, from 15 : 30 - 23 : .
Candidates must possess a valid ID and be able to pass a rigid character and background investigation.
Additional Job Description
