About this opportunity :
The Resident Monitor primary duties include accepting and processing clients into the lodge / shelter facility and monitoring the activity of guests on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security, and policy compliance.
Key responsibilities :
- Monitors lodge / shelter facility to ensure safety.
- Inputs data into Clarity
- Communicates issues or relevant information through communication logs.
- Responds to emergencies in a calm manner and initiates corrective action in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Process guest mail
- Answers telephone and responds to program inquiries.
What we are looking for in you :
- High School Diploma or AND
- one year experience performing security or social service work preferred OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
- Ability to perform combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 35 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.
- Work is performed in a lodge / shelter facility where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
