Country Club General Manager Detroit Suburbs
Our Client, a member owned, prominent private country club (18 holes), offers a la carte dining and extensive catering and banquet facilities to its members and guests.
Catering volume over $5M, with focus on weddings and member events.
Looking for GM to elevate food, beverage and catering operations along with staff development. New catering sales program and menus needs to be spearheaded.
The membership will embrace an experienced professional with new ideas, food and beverage expertise, social media savvy, and creativity in club member events.
Responsible to review and improve member communications digital, club calendar, newsletter, emails, etc. Will consider a candidate with strong Food, Beverage, and Catering background from upscale hotels, resorts, conference centers, clubs or fine dining restaurant operations.
Position Knowledge and Responsibilities
- Will oversee all facets of club operations with a strong emphasis on food and beverage, financial management, budgeting and planning, and overall club administration
- Strong organizational and analytical skills needed
- Position demands highest level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and dedication
- Requires ability to effectively lead, manage, and develop department managers and their teams
- Need proven ability to think strategically while meeting operational and short-term objectives
- Traits must include high attention to detail, sense of urgency, and focus on member and guest satisfaction
- Provides advice to the Board of Directors and all club committees
- Oversees the care and maintenance of all physical assets and facilities
