Our client is seeking a Senior IT Technical Project Manager 4 to manage and deliver complex IT project(s) with multiple teams and work streams coordinated to an aggressive delivery schedule.
This is a hybrid position 3-4 days / week onsite in Midlothian, VA.
Contract date : 06 / 01 / 2024 - 12 / 31 / 2024
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Manage projects consisting of Software as a Service (SaaS) and / or IT Infrastructure components (Servers, storage, OS upgrades, networking, software installs, vulnerability remediation, etc.)
- The project manager is responsible for the outcome of the assigned projects.
- The project manager leads the team through the Commonwealth Standard for Project Management for successful completion of the project phases : Preselect, Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring and Closeout.
- Familiarity with network technologies (switches, firewalls, circuits, etc.) standards and practices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
A minimum of (7) years of project experience in IT infrastructure delivery, network and server infrastructure, knowledge of Cloud implementations, and vendor management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- Experience in various software development methodologies. Preferred experience with Agile.
- Experience managing large multi-stream projects
- Candidate MUST have PMP certification through PMI or PM certification from Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- This position requires a fingerprint-based background check
- Candidate must also be able to work onsite 3-4 days / week
