Role Overview :
As the Director of Privileged Access Services (PAM), you will lead the strategy, roadmap, and operations of privileged access technologies across Pfizer Digital.
You’ll innovate and implement solutions to manage and secure privileged accounts across a variety of environments (cloud, on-premises, and SaaS).
Reporting to the Senior Director of Identity & Access Management (IAM), this leadership role balances strategy, technical expertise, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of the PAM strategy, incorporating scan / discovery, remediation, password management, automation, and resiliency.
- Design and implement innovative PAM solutions to secure privileged access across multiple environments.
- Develop automation strategies for privileged account provisioning and de-provisioning processes.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure PAM system effectiveness and adoption.
- Oversee financial planning for PAM services, including capital investments and technology refreshes.
- Manage a team of direct reports and contract service providers while fostering a culture of innovation.
- Continuously assess risks and vulnerabilities related to privileged access, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications (Must-Haves) :
- 10+ years of IT / IAM / cybersecurity experience, with 5+ years focused on PAM.
- Strong experience with PAM platforms (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Thycotic).
- Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale projects.
- Expertise in integrating PAM solutions across cloud, on-prem, IaaS, and SaaS environments (Azure, AWS).
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Solid understanding of regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and best practices for data protection.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have :
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIAM, or certifications in PAM tools (e.g., CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer).
Experience working in an Agile environment.
