Primary Objective of Banquet House Person Position
To maintain the cleanliness, proper set-up and organization of banquet rooms, hallways, storage and service areas.
Responsibilities
- Sets up function rooms according to event orders and / or directions from supervisor
- Maintains general upkeep of function rooms and related public areas
- Ensures that floors, walls, and equipment are clean in function rooms
- Removes debris from public areas
- Breaks down banquet sets on a timely
- Stores all banquet furniture and equipment following banquet
- Reports any equipment in need of repair or replacement to supervisor or Engineering Department in a timely manner
- Understands department fire procedures; keeps fire exits and lanes free from equipment and debris
- Turns in articles left in public areas to "Lost and Found"
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Physical Demands & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel;
reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and must frequently lift and / or move up to 100 pounds.
The employee must also be able to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying 100 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts and the noise level is usually moderate to loud
