Description
Marshfield Clinic Health System is seeking a Physician - Assistant Chief Medical Informatics Officer. The aCMIO will be a practicing physician at MCHS and will be responsible for supporting the CMIO and Marshfield Clinic Health Systems medical informatics program.
- The assistant CMIO will use his / her knowledge of patient care combined with an understanding of informatics concepts, methods, and tools to : assess information and knowledge needs of health care professionals and patients;
- characterize, evaluate, and refine clinical processes; develop, implement, and refine clinical decision support systems;
participate in the procurement, customization, development, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems that support clinicians in the delivery of efficient, safe and effective patient care.
The Assistant CMIO reports to the Chief Medical Informatics Officer.
The aCMIO is expected to work collaboratively with both nursing informatics, IS and providers in the system. He / she will lead a multidisciplinary Collaborative for informatics work.
They will assist with review and prioritization of informatics requests in the system as well as assist with solutions. Experience with informatics with provider workflow optimization and ambulatory experience is preferred.
This position would be 0.2 FTE with the remaining FTE fulfilling clinical work in the physician's specialty.
