Job Summary and Qualifications

Speech Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist

We are currently seeking an ambitious Speech Therapist to join our team on a Full time basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist on our team, you will plan and administer medically prescribed treatment programs for the rehabilitation of speech, language, cognitive, and oral motor disorders.

Your duties and responsibilities may include :

  • Evaluate the patient's condition, obtain case history, and administer diagnostic tests to determine nature and degree of speech and language problem
  • Establish, implement, and modify treatment plans, in accordance with hospital / department policies and procedures
  • Determine when patient progress and goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention
  • Establish provisions for continuing services and make referrals to other professionals regarding patient care as necessary
  • ICU / heated high flow experience preferred

Requirements :

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required
  • State of Florida Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required
  • Hospital-based experience required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by the American Speech Language Hearing Association
  • Ability to perform video swallow studies independently
  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills; ability to read / comprehend written instructions;

ability to follow verbal instructions; PC skills
