About The Position
Job Title : Echocardiographer Job Specialty : Cardiac Ultrasound Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : First Shift - Monday to Friday, Wednesdays off Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : One to three years as a cardiac sonographer required License : RDCS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International or completion of RDCS / RCS requirements within 12 months of employment Certifications : American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire Must-Have : RDCS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification- Experience in cardiac sonography- AHA BLS certification or equivalent Job Description : Perform transthoracic echocardiograms- Set up and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms- Demonstrate competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population- Follow standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography- Additional duties as assigned- Work requires completion of a two-year Allied Health degree and successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-approved School of Ultrasound Technology or Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent education- Previous healthcare-related experience such as CNA, EMT, PCA, or similar is preferred Skills : Proficiency in cardiovascular ultrasound technology- Background in healthcare roles like CNA or EMT is advantageous- Knowledge of principal component analysis Language : Fluency in English (Read, Write, Speak)
