Prep Cook Job Duties and Expectations

You'll be measuring, mixing, weighing, and preparing dough using a dough mixer and dough rounder, as well as shredding and preparing cheese.

You'll also have to keep the prep area clean, organized, and well-stocked.

Prep Cook Job Requirements

• Be able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Be able to bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs, and lift 50lbs bags of flour up and down stairs.
• Be able to work with large kitchen equipment such as a dough mixer, knives, and industrial cheese shredder (don't worry, we'll teach you how to use these things, but you have to be able to work with large equipment that requires great attention to detail and safety precautions).
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have a clean, or near clean, driving record.
• Must be 18+ to apply. If you are 16 or 17 years old, you can apply for the Front of House at our Garver location. All other positions / locations require you to be 18+ years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide adequate identification documentation at Orientation and / or Day One.

Prep Cook Scheduling

Shifts start at 8am or 9am, and they end around 3pm. This is a part-time position for about 15-20 hours per week.

Part-time (anywhere in the 15-30 hours a week range) or full-time (30-40 hours a week) is available. We'll try our hardest to give you the hours and shifts you want, but we can't promise the same schedule every week.

For full-timers though, we'll make sure you average 30-40 hours each week to ensure your health and dental benefits eligibility.
