Surgical Services Business Coordinator

Summary

The Surgical Services Business Coordinator is responsible to the Vice President of Surgical Services for facilitating the integration, management, and data needs for all of surgical services.

Responsibilities include designing procedures and methodologies for reporting, working collaboratively with other departments to investigate and respond to a variety of financial, revenue, supply chain and quality issues.

This position will develop, evaluate, and maintain creative, progressive, internal documentation and external reports to support the operational and strategic needs of surgical services and the hospital system.

Education and formal training :

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, with minimum two years’ experience in management, computers, and / or materials management.

Work Experience :

Experience in surgical services management or in a health care organization. Experience with Excel and EPIC.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required :

Must have the ability to organize systems, manage people, collaborate with physicians and others, prepare management reports, use computer graphics, and communicate effectively.

Work entails having or developing a working knowledge of OR routines, a wide variety of equipment, instruments, and supplies and procedures specific to surgical areas.

Physical requirements :

Work requires long periods of sitting. Visual / auditory acuity needed. Verbal abilities for communication and presentations.
