Position Overview : As aSchool Occupational Therapist, you'll embark on an exciting journey of empowering students to embrace their uniqueness and thrive academically.
Your role will involve assessing students' strengths and challenges, developing personalized intervention plans, and collaborating with educators and families to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities :
- Engage in holistic assessments to understand students' motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
- Craft creative and effective intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Deliver engaging occupational therapy services in diverse settings, including individual sessions and group activities.
- Partner with teachers to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines and activities.
- Champion student progress through ongoing monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with the IEP team.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Virginia state license or eligibility for licensure.
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric occupational therapy within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for creativity, innovation, and student-centered care.
