- Conduct research
- Write reports, journal papers, and conference papers
- Write proposals under the P.I.’s supervision
- Assist with managing the research lab, data, data storage, etc.
- Assist with webinars, workshops, conferences, etc.
- Other tasks assigned by the P.I.
Requested Minimum Qualifications Education :
The successful candidate must have PhD at the time of commencing the position from an accredited College or University in a Transportation related field (Transportation Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and / or other relevant STEM fields).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
- Hands-on experience with computing and programming in Python, Matlab, C / C++, or other object-oriented programming languages, as well as R, Julia Stan, Win BUGS and so on.
- Strong interest and self-motivation to perform cutting-edge research and overcome challenges in real-world engineering and to publish high-impact papers
Other Preferences for Consideration
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational mathematics
- Experience in developing machine learning models using Pytorch, TensorFlow, and / or other relevant packages / platforms
