JOB OVERVIEW :
Join a leader in environmental conservation in northern Illinois! The McHenry County Conservation District is seeking an inspiring and experienced leader to oversee our Education Services Department.
This role is critical in shaping the future of our environmental education programs, managing staff, and coordinating special events and vendor partnerships to provide meaningful educational experiences for our community.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a high level of responsibility in managing budgets, utilizing district resources, and enhancing public relations.
The ideal candidate will bring both passion and expertise in environmental education, with the ability to engage and positively interact with others in a professional setting.
Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication are essential for the planning, direction, and coordination of services and programs.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Education, Interpretation, Outdoor Education, Science Teaching, or a related field, along with at least seven (7) years of relevant experience in environmental education and interpretation.
