Primary Function

Ardurra is looking for a Municipal Client Services Manager / Project Manager for our growing municipal / Public Works group.

In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing projects and serving as a client manager for public works projects being completed in your region.

Projects include a wide variety of water, sewer, and planning projects for our municipal clients. The ideal individual will provide mentoring to junior staff, QA / QC, and pursue relationships with existing and potential clients.

The individual will join a fully functioning group with existing clients and relationships in your respective region. In addition to local staff, this individual will work with national experts and resources to pursue and deliver projects that highlight the strengths of Ardurra.

Project managers in municipal will assist their clients to navigate federal, state, and local funding, public bidding, obtaining regulatory approvals, and how to manage a diverse team of experts to meet the various needs of projects.

This role involves providing leadership and direction to your team with considerable autonomy based upon specific skills, experience, and relationships.

The individual will also be required to serve as Client Services Manager for Ardurra clients to maintain effective communication with customers, update the status of existing projects, and develop ongoing new business.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college
  • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience designing and delivering projects in the municipal sector
  • Professional Engineer’s license
  • Experience in municipal and public works projects including water, sewer, roadways, planning, and other typical needs of municipalities.
  • Strong knowledge of public works projects, public bidding, funding, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor existing staff and develop new staff as needed to support growth of the municipal group
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to work on challenging projects in a team environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing projects involving development of detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for a variety of municipal clients.
  • Develop proposals as required in response to requests for proposals / qualifications and help identify teaming opportunities
  • Ability to guide, direct, and coordinate with multiple departments and / or sub-consultants for multi-discipline projects
  • Ability to create, calibrate, modify, and suggest alternatives for plans, and interpret and communicate the results to others
  • Perform communication and business development duties with current and potential clients
  • Serve as supervisor and mentor to junior staff

Salary Range

$100K to $180K (DOE)
