Principal Product Manager Tech , Last Mile Payments

Amazon.com Services LLC
Bellevue, Washington, USA
$161.9K a year
Full-time

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. We are constantly looking to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible.

To meet this goal, Amazon is investing heavily to innovate and provide best in class services in the Last Mile delivery space.

The Last Mile Payments team is building the next generation of payments platform to ensure accurate and on time payments for all our delivery service partners across the Amazon ecosystem.

The technology involved encompasses the full stack of software development. This includes customer facing applications for viewing and approving invoices, mobile features for viewing block level earnings, and internal app development to enable Operation partners to work efficiently for viewing and approving work, rates, and payments.

This complex system consists of tens of services and dependencies across multiple orgs, and serves 20+ countries (and growing) each with their own unique invoicing, tax, and accounting requirements for localized compliance.

These systems are responsible for paying tens of billions of dollars to hundreds of thousands of partners in 20+ geographies.

We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated product leader to innovate and solve the challenges at a massive scale.

You will drive product vision, road-map planning, project execution, and closely collaborate with cross functional business and engineering teams to develop cutting-edge payment systems.

A successful candidate will bring deep technical, payments, finance, business, and product leadership expertise, and ability to work within a fast-paced startup culture in a large company to deliver best-in-class payment experience.

This is a unique and rare opportunity to build the largest self-billing platform to issue payments and delight hundreds of thousands of delivery service partners worldwide.

As a product owner you will be expected to monitor weekly metrics and callouts, direct and occasionally perform deep dives, generate product artifacts (vision / strategy documents, BRD, Launch Plans, operating plans), and contribute to monthly business reviews with cross functional VPs.

It’s no secret that Amazon relies on its technology to deliver millions of packages every day to its customers on time, with low cost.

Our Last Mile technology division builds software solutions that work across our vendors, delivery stations and carriers to optimize both time & cost of getting packages into the hands of our customers.

This remains a fast-growing business, and our technical journey has only started. With rapid expansion into new geographies, unique delivery models for products ranging from Fresh groceries to big-screen TV’s, and growing number of shipments worldwide, we will need innovative solutions to scale our software to meet these opportunities.
