Position Description
The Sales Operations and Marketing Specialist is a full-time position that emphasizes a candidate’s ability to be creative, resourceful, reliable, organized, and detail orientated.
The position reports to company leadership but is expected to interact and support team members across the organization.
As a Sales Operations and Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for working with the sales and technical team to develop content to clearly communicate the value and brand of Idaho Scientific.
Your involvement will play a key role in increasing business opportunities and ensuring a positive total experience for our customers.

What You’ll Get to Do :
Develop corporate communications in coordination with Sales Managers and Application Engineers
Create marketing collateral (data sheets, PowerPoint slides, technical white papers, Product Guides) to clearly and accurately communicate the value and use of Idaho Scientific’s products to an array of technical and non-technical customers and stakeholders
Create and distribute press releases for contract wins, new product releases
Either create or interface with a subcontractor to create custom graphics and images to more clearly depict the value of Idaho Scientific products
Represent the company at conferences and events
Lead the logistics of securing booth space, planning the booth layout and give-aways, setup and take down of the booth
Staff the booth at industry conferences, be able to speak about Idaho Scientific technical products at a high level and coordinate introductions to the proper Idaho Scientific staff for follow up
Develop messaging specific to the intended audience at conferences and the Idaho Scientific value proposition
Initiate follow-up with new contacts made at the conference
Maintain website and social media presence
Track website analytics and be responsible for generating and managing ideas for improvement
Be able to make simple updates to the website (News posts) and coordinate with the website design team for additional maintenance and improvements to the website
Maintain the company LinkedIn page
Provide input to proposals led by Business Development
Lead Sales Operations in support of Sales Managers
Be responsible for inputs and accuracy of the sales CRM
Create and track product quotes
Ensure customer post-sales experience is above expectation
Track which customers have which version of which product
Required Qualifications & Experience
US Citizenship
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management or Marketing
Excellent communications skills, especially in writing
Ability to learn basic technical concepts and accurately communicate them to a general audience
Ability to listen, ask clarifying questions and then know how to direct potential customers to the right Idaho Scientific resource for additional information
Ability to clearly capture complex technical concepts in writing and slides for both technical and general audiences
Must have high attention to detail
Demonstrated interpersonal skills across multi-functional and highly technical teams, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and integration
Customer service experience, including managing external customers / stakeholders
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Excel, SharePoint, Dynamics 365)
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Active or ability to get a US Security Clearance
1-3 years of experience in marketing or technical sales
Experience interfacing with Department of Defense customers
Graphics design experience
Web development or website maintenance experience
Social media (esp LinkedIn) experience
Experience staffing a booth at industry tradeshows and conferences
Location
The preferred work location is at Idaho Scientific headquarters in Boise, Idaho
