Job Title : School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location : Medford, MAEmployment Type : Full-Time / Part-TimeJob Description : I am seeking an experienced and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services to students across various grade levels.
The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders, working closely with teachers, parents, and school administrators to help students improve their communication skills and succeed academically.
Key Responsibilities : Conduct evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students from PreK-12.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), that meet each student’s specific needs.
Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings to address articulation, fluency, voice, language, and social communication skills.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to integrate speech-language goals into the classroom setting.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans and interventions as needed.Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations on interventions, accommodations, and supports for students.
Offer training and guidance to educators and parents on communication strategies to foster language development both in school and at home.
Stay current on best practices, tools, and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology.Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Qualifications : Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid Massachusetts SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and communication.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to supporting students’ communication development and academic success.
