Salary : Nine-month salary depending on College also provides a comprehensive benefits package.

Required Qualifications : This position requires a master’s in health information management or health informatics from an accredited institution, Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credentials,and active coder biller possess effective communication skills, be proficient with the use of computers, use Office and virtual communication software.
Desired Qualifications : Teaching experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities : This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.
- Teaches Medical Coder Biller laboratories and classes
- Participates in program accreditation and reaccreditation, as necessary
- Assists in curriculum development, course reports, and textbook selection
- Uses instructional technology methods when presenting course content
- Communicates effectively and efficiently with students
- Provides written course syllabus which includes classroom policies, procedures, grading, and learning outcomes
- Uses appropriate and up-to-date course materials, including learning objectives, texts, and supplementary teaching materials
- Applies classroom management strategies in face to face, hybrid, and / or online format
- Implements student assessment policies, such as testing or observation of skills
- Submits grades or other course assessment reports in a timely manner
- Manages routine classroom responsibilities in a professional manner
Professional Development
- Participates in activities that advance professional competencies and teaching skills
- Engages in activities that advance the teaching discipline or profession
- Maintains or acquires appropriate or required certifications, licensure, or other professional credentials
College Responsibilities and Service :
- Serving on department, school, and college-wide committees
- Participating in the promotion and continuing contract process
- Keeps scheduled office hours as required by the respective load formula for the purpose of academic advising
- Records student attendance as necessary
- Attends department, division, and college-wide academic functions
- Knowledge of areasof discipline to be taught
- Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with students, colleagues and supervisors
- Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and professionally through oral and written communications
- Commitment to the community college mission, innovative and effective teaching, sustained and significant professional development, and service to the College
- Computer literacy and the ability to navigate in a Windows environment
