About The Position
Job Title : Physical Therapist (PT) Job Specialty : Rehabilitation Job Duration : Not specified Shift : Day - 5x8 - 9am - 5pm Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Physical Therapist 1 : Preferred one or two years of experience;
open to new graduates.- Physical Therapist 2 : Minimum of 5 years of experience with certification of advanced clinical competency.
Physical Therapist 3 : Minimum of 10 years of experience with certification of advanced clinical competency. License : Current Physical Therapy license (or obtain prior to hire date) Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : Degree from an accredited university recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Job Description : Provide evaluation and treatment for hospital inpatients in acute care, outpatients, and residents of the hospital long-term care unit, according to the professional standards of the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Deliver evidence-based, optimum patient care as a top priority.- Provide treatment by referral from physicians and work under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation.
- Assist in the supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants or Aides, Long Term Care Restorative Aides, and volunteers or students.
- Interact daily with the public, other employees, patients and families, and physicians while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Responsible for the clinical direction and development of one of the Rehab Department subspecialties, depending on classification level.
- Certified in one or two subspecialties, depending on classification level.
