Recognized as one of Utah's top 100 fastest growing companies, three years in a row, we are experiencing impressive growth and need a new Project Engineer / Estimator in our Sandy office, to help support project management, bid and prepare projects for construction.

Job Expectations :
- Maintains an up-to-date database about current project status
- Assists Project Manager on projects from preconstruction to close-out
- Confirms that project reports, submittals, schedules, and change orders are being met
- Provides the required up-to-date copies of drawings and specifications to subcontractors.
- Attends and participates in applicable meetings
- Ensures that the project site and construction operations and procedures are documented
- Files hard or electronic inspections, tests, safety, and other reports
- Assists with the monitoring and enforcement of the safety plan.
- Submits change order requests to architect and owner, and maintains log of PRs, CORs, and COs.
- Provides quantity take-offs for self-performed work activities.
- Markets the company to the owner and architectural team; engages the Business Development Department in pursuing future opportunities.
- Works with the project team to ensure that the detailed construction CPM schedule is met.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
- General knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques.
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, memos, plans, construction documents, contract documents, and specifications
- Read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Proactive and deadline-oriented.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
- General knowledge of LEED principles.
- Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools; proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasks.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite, BlueBeam, and can navigate and / or use CAD software.
Education / Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Or 3 to 5 years of related commercial construction experience
