DESCRIPTION
Bridge Inspector will oversee the planning, inspection and safety evaluations of state and locally owned bridges and review inspection reports.
You will work with others in planning and executing the safety and fracture-critical inspections of state and locally owned bridges in addition to preparing inspection reports..
As a client representative, you will be expected to :
- Perform bridge and / or tunnel inspections, reports, and supporting documents.
- Monitor work on inspection projects including quality, schedule, costs, and safety for compliance with the contract requirements and document all findings, observations, and issues.
- Verify bridge reports and supporting documents meet quality assurance requirements.
- Maintain effective communications and coordination between the bridge inspection teams, supervisors, and clients.
- Utilize inspection tools including tablets, ladders, man-lifts, inspection tools, sUAS, and client documentation software.
- Assist Bridge Inspection Group Manager with PM tasks, attendance at client meetings.
- Oversee and coordinate traffic control, schedule man-lifts and under-bridge cranes for inspections.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- HS Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of prior experience inspection for highways bridges is preferred but not required
- Have or obtain the 2-week NHI Safety Inspection for Highway Bridge certification and other NHI inspection required certifications
- Computer skills : MS Office and Excel
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to travel up to 2 weeks per month
- Ability to achieve required safety training
- Ability to obtain Part 107 to become sUAS pilot
- Ability to work in the field year round
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to prioritize project assignments to meet competing deadlines
- Attention to detail and effective decision making and organizational skills
- Fracture Critical inspection experience a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid . driver’s license
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $42,000-$73,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
