Provides billing support as needed to DAS, Billing Specialists, and related Customer Care teams ensuring processes are kept current.
Assists with education and training of tasks associated with various types of billing scenarios such as electric net metering.
Serves as a resource for questions related to the AMI and AMR-related workflows and processes.
This is a temporary position with an anticipated end date of September 1, 2025
- Provides technical support and assistance with the AMR mobile read collection process and the AMI read process.
- Provides technical support and assistance for net metering-related tasks and processes.
- Provides support and shares knowledge with us and vendors regarding the Netscense and IP Keys-related interfaces, processes, and workflows.
- Aids by researching metering software-related issues to determine root causes and recommend solutions.
- Provides general help with service orders and billing tasks as needed.
- Provides detailed review, root cause analysis, and recommendations for metering and billing-related issues as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education, Training and Experience Guidelines
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public management or in a related field.
Four (4) years of full-time work experience providing quality customer service in collections or similar work environments.
Two (2) years of the required experience must have been in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Knowledge of :
- Rate structures, utility usage, and conservation methods.
- City and departmental practices, policies and procedures.
- Customer service practices and techniques.
- Problem-solving techniques.
- City structure and ordinances.
Skill in :
- Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Using computers and related software.
- Performing data analysis and problem-solving.
- Planning and organizing work.
- Handling multiple tasks and prioritizing.
- Calculating services and rate classification for commercial, industrial, or residential applications.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Composing customer correspondence.
- Analyzing and interpreting meter reading and consumption patterns.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing, balancing, vision, hearing, talking, and use of foot controls.
This temporary on-call position will be for a duration of 1,000 hours per year.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Valid Class C Texas driver's license.
Hiring Range : $21.00, hourly.
