Job Opportunity : School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide school-based health services for students in grades 6 through 12.
This temporary position is to cover parental leave from August to November.
Position : Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location : Boston, MA
Duration : Parental Leave Coverage, August - November
Schedule : Monday - Friday, half days on Wednesday
Hours : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
Grades : 6th - 12th
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide healthcare services to students, including first aid, emergency care, and management of chronic conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct health assessments and develop care plans for students with medical needs.
- Monitor and manage communicable diseases and other health issues within the school.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
Qualifications :
- Current and valid RN or LPN license.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and effectively.
