TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES
- Prepares and cooks food and manages a school food service program at their respective schools;
- Plans menus to meet pupil nutritive requirements;
- Requisitions foods and supplies;
- Oversees the preparation and serving of food;
- Directs the storage and care of foods and supplies;
- Supervises the cleaning of the kitchen, serving, storage and dining areas and the care of equipment;
- Plans the work schedules of employees;
- Assists in the selection and arrangement of kitchen equipment;
- Maintains employee time records;
- Maintains simple records of food and supplies received and used;
- Prepares and submits reports on activities of the cafeteria;
- Preforms related work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A) Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in Food Service Administration, Dietetic Technology, Nutrition Restaurant Management or a related food service field;
- B) Graduation from High School, GED or Equivalency Diploma and TWO YEARS of full time experience in an industrial or school cafeteria, hospitals, restaurants, hotels and / or other similar operations other than fast food or short order, involving large quantity food service;
C) an equivalent combination as defined within limits of A and B
