S. states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom. Qualifications Job Requirements : Associate degree / educational equivalent provided by college transcript or high school diploma / GED with two years of psychiatric / equivalent experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field preferred. Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and / or adults (ages 18 plus) preferred, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness, preferred.
Licenses or Certifications : Current Arkansas Driver’s License required if approved to transport patients. Current CPR and Handle with Care certifications or must obtain within two weeks of date of hire.
Skills and Abilities : Effective oral and written communication skills and knowledge of telephone etiquette is required.
Ability to interact in a positive manner and to communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor, and other hospital employees.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to adapt to changes in how information is processed.
